Visit one of the many local Tea Factorys, who organise guided tours for visitors to see how our world famous Ceylon Tea is prepared, be prepared to buy some excellent high quality tea produce at the end of your tour to commemorate your visit and to enjoy once you are back at home.

Visit the lovely Victoria Park at the centre of town; one of the nicest, and best maintained town parks in Sri Lanka. Stroll around its manicured lawns and take advantage of the photo opportunities surrounded by flowers known for their splendour.

Dining out is also very special, especially at The Hill Club, with more formal service, and classical menus or the more relaxed Old Course Restaurant at the St Andrew’s Hotel which features a culinary heritage of Empire fused with Asian flavours. Another favourite is The Grand Indian, located in front of the Grand Hotel. The food and service are consistently good and the ambience is energetic and exciting.
