Weddings with Anilana

We at Anilana will assist you to create your weddings at our properties in traditional Sri Lankan or Western style. Choose from bare foot on the beach or garden style & we will be there to help guide you through the toughest aspects of planning your wedding. Each couple has different desires and budgets, so our consultants will help you to customize a package to fit your needs.

Our Wedding Package

Beach or Garden wedding- Garden wedding (outdoor) - Depending on the weather, we can provide a beautiful setting overlooking the Reef/beach. In the case of bad weather, the ceremony will be held in the bar area and reception at the restaurant.
Bridal bouquet & boutonnière for groom.
Flower arrangements & podium arrangement with local natural palm leaves and flowers.
Wedding cake with Sri Lankan Sweet meets . Traditional oil lamp decorated with flowers. Bottle of champagne.
Room décor on night of your wedding.
Registration & certificate (translated).
Free room upgrade for the wedding couple to the next category of room.

The required original documents for an official marriage in Sri Lanka are given below.

Bride and Bridegroom - full name/ Date of birth/ Nationality and occupation
The guests to be in the hotel 4 nights before the wedding.
Birth certificate.
Passports – copies are only required of the information pages, do not include the pages containing immigration and visa stamps.
An affidavit confirming your status certified by a solicitor.
The affidavit (Unmarried Certificate) or Divorced Certificate as appropriate should be certified by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (for British nationals) and legalized by the Sri Lanka High Commission, London. For other nationals the document should be certified by their respective Foreign Ministries.
Should apply Business Visa for marriage purposes (for British nationals).
If divorced – decree absolute /s.
Legal proof of any name changes by Deed Poll.
If widowed
a) Death certificate/s of former spouse/s.
b) Previous marriage certificate/s.
If adopted – legal forms.
If any document provided is not in English, then a translation from a legally recognized translator.
A letter stating your full name, postal address and occupation.
A letter stating the full names, addresses and occupations of your parents.
If under 21 years of age, evidence of parental consent in the form of a statutory declaration.
